Joshua is in his fourth year of practice, dual-qualified in Singapore (2022) and England & Wales (2026). He does commercial disputes, mostly cross-border and seated in Singapore: technology and digital-asset disputes, alongside shareholder disputes, trade finance and banking fraud, restructuring and insolvency, and arbitration.
Trade finance & banking fraud – Complex trade-finance fraud and banking disputes – letters of indemnity, documentary credits, and claims arising from structured commodity financing gone wrong.
Restructuring, insolvency & asset recovery – Acting for liquidators and provisional liquidators on post-insolvency recovery, creditor engagement and asset preservation – including interpleader proceedings over competing claims to ~S$3.8 billion in oil cargoes, and a heavily contested judicial-management application concerning claims of over US$60 million.
Civil fraud, asset tracing & interim relief – Defending unjust-enrichment, knowing-receipt and express-trust claims and related derivative and committal proceedings – including setting aside a worldwide Mareva injunction to restore a client’s control over its assets.
International & domestic arbitration – SIAC-administered arbitration and related court proceedings, including a Court of Appeal challenge to the setting aside of an arbitral award on natural-justice grounds.
Shareholder, partnership & fund disputes – Multi-jurisdictional shareholder, partnership and investment-fund disputes across Asia and offshore – from minority oppression claims, drawdown and subscription-agreement claims to leading the defence and counterclaim strategy in a directors’-duties dispute.
Cryptocurrency & digital assets – Digital-asset recovery where insolvency meets new technology – tracing cryptocurrency across custodial wallets and exchanges, proprietary and trust claims over stablecoins and cryptocurrencies.
With English being the universal programming language of today, I find ways to program solutions for everyday life – from personal to professional challenges, there’s always something that can help make life easier and convenient. I run my own Linux server – a perpetually-on computer that helps to run my projects on the fly.

OpenClaw – a persistent legal AI assistant – In development · private. A modified OpenClaw build running as a persistent legal AI bot on a private messaging channel, wired into my calendar, my research tooling and my own notes. It keeps its own memory, survives restarts, and orchestrates rather than doing everything itself: work is delegated to dedicated agents, and every deliverable is quality-checked before it reaches me. In practice, I use it to get research memos done for me on the fly.
Ledger – a simpler personal-finance app – In development. A deliberately minimal personal-finance app built to help quell the anxiety that arises from managing finances. Imagine this – knowing how much you can spend on the daily, while having the confidence that you’re saving enough for retirement. Working on this together with my wife!
